hi, i’m jen

I am a former teacher turned life coach on a mission to empower students, teens, and young adults in expanding their minds to the limitless potential of life. As someone with tendencies toward people pleasing and perfectionism, I looked outward for validation and focused more on the outcome than enjoying the process. I didn’t slow down enough to know when to give myself grace versus push towards my goals. After college, I unknowingly embarked on a self discovery journey where I built more confidence and took ownership of my shadows. Now I feel a strong sense of purpose to bring these lessons, insights, and a safe, nurturing space to young people who are looking to grow.

I understand the challenges of a packed schedule and wanting to prioritize personal growth and self care. Off Season is inspired by my student-athlete summers where I grew exponentially with the extra resources, time, and daylight to level up my game. As a teen and young adult life coach, my job is to create opportunities for young people that enhance their lives.

Sports have an off-season where coaches strongly encourage their student-athletes to participate in extra scrimmages, drills, and weight lifting when their game and practice schedules aren’t insane.

That’s where Off Season comes in. Summer is the perfect time for young people to incorporate more relaxation and fun. Just like the human body needs time to physically recover, it’s important for that mental break from the academic grind as well. Off Season is exactly what you’re looking for to keep your high schooler or college student sharp over the summer and feeling confident going into the next school year.

THE OFF SEASON PROCESS

    • These first two weeks lay the ground work for the rest of the summer. Thought provoking questions jump start the reflection process that brings awareness to unsupportive choices and habits. The high school or college student gains confidence and practices self compassion versus self judgement and realizes that there's no better time like the present to make adjustments that support their bigger vision.

    • Personal values impact everything else we do. The high school and college students dive into what is important to them and identify if and how they are living in alignment with those. This is the perfect time to recognize if and how they can start to shift their choices to meet their values and goals. Habits are the secret sauce to success. They're the small, daily choices that build up from small wins to big wins. They will start to see rapid changes as they integrate these few small pieces and will be more motivated than ever to continue towards their goals as the school year approaches.

    • Work smarter, not harder. There are incredible tools out there that, when utilized appropriately, can make our lives easier. Throughout these 3 weeks, the high school and college students will practice applying different habits and daily practices with systems that help them be punctual, organized, motivated, and reflective. This gives them personal autonomy and can be applied to any area of their life.

    • The high school and college students will be feeling ready to rock by the time they finish out the last 3 weeks heading towards or into the beginning of the school year. This is the time they will take lessons they've learned and personally refine goals and habits. They'll learn about the importance of monthly check in's and the growth opportunities that are possible with this monthly routine. I'll be here as a guide for any final insight into their plan of goal execution for the next few months and entire school year.

  • When spots are available, the 3-month 1:1 coaching packages are offered year round. These are offered to teens, students, and young adults ranging from 13-27 years old. The goals set during these 1:1 coaching packages differ significantly for each individual. Off Season is 10 weeks to fit perfectly into the summer schedule. A portion of the time will be spent reflecting on the previous school year, habits, and tendencies as a student or a student-athlete. Then we will take time to look forwards into the 2024-2025 school year to set goals and utilize the time in between to test out different routines, habits, and resources in a more relaxed environment versus the school year which is typically a more hectic season.

  • 1:1 coaching calls begin the week of July 1st and will run until September 4th. Each high school and college student will have one call a week. It is their responsibility to book each call using the scheduler link that will be emailed and posted in their portal. If there is an extenuating circumstance that impacts a specific week’s availability, a conversation must be had ahead of time in order to decide if that week’s call will be eligible to roll over into the next week. This is not guaranteed. One call a week keeps the consistency across the summer and early fall.

    The group calls are:

    Wednesday July 17 @ 4pm

    Tuesday August 13 @ 5:30pm

    Wednesday September 4 @ 7pm

  • The replays of all the group calls will be uploaded into their personal portal. However, I would strongly encourage everyone to mark their calendars and prioritize these calls as it’s an opportunity to learn from one another. Surrounding ourselves with like-minded people and listening to one another’s strengths and challenges is one of the fastest ways to grow.

  • You will receive a welcome email that includes the information to sign into the portal, an Intake Form so I can get to know you a little bit before we begin, and a scheduling link to book the first coaching call.
